Your voice is streamed to OpenAI's Realtime API for AI-powered conversation during journaling sessions. OpenAI processes the audio to generate real-time responses. Per OpenAI's API data usage policy, data sent via the API is not used to train OpenAI's models. Voice audio is not permanently retained after the session ends.
We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure provider. Your account information, transcripts, themes, and other app data are stored in Supabase's encrypted databases.
We use Mixpanel for anonymized product analytics. Mixpanel collects usage patterns and app interaction data to help us improve the experience. This data does not include your journal content or voice recordings.
We use AIProxy to securely relay API requests to OpenAI, providing an additional layer of API key protection.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Voice audio is not permanently stored — only the resulting transcripts are retained. You may delete your data at any time (see Section 8).
Joice is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
